“After the Earthquake” Music Video

After the Earthquake is a song by indie-rock band Alvvays. The song brings me indescribable nostalgia. About a year after shooting Honeymoon Missouri I was itching to direct something else, so I figured to put my resources to good use and utilize my home of rural Missouri once more. I was home for about a month and decided to call up my friends and tell them to call their friends and invite them to a pool party where I was going to film a music video that captured a sense of nostalgia. We sourced dozens of era-appropriate outfits, a handful of era-appropriate vehicles, and hired a hairstylist to tie it all together. Everyone had tons of fun making this. Please enjoy!
